Job Title: Floor Manager – Boomtown Beer Garden
Location: Victoria, BC
Hours: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Compensation: $25/hour + tips

Position Overview
The Floor Manager is a leadership role responsible for the day-to-day execution of service on the floor. You’ll lead by example, coach the team in real time, and work closely with ownership and the management team to uphold our standards and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Floor Operations
Oversee daily front-of-house service with a calm, assertive presence — especially during high-volume periods and events.
- Staff Training & Coaching
Support onboarding, cross-training, and ongoing coaching of FOH staff including bar, host, and support roles. Ensure service standards are clear, consistent, and evolving with the business.
- Scheduling & Shift Leadership
Assist with scheduling, manage breaks, and ensure appropriate floor coverage throughout the day.
- Guest Experience Oversight
Address guest concerns in the moment with professionalism and care. Proactively walk the floor to maintain smooth flow and a welcoming environment.
- Basic HR & Conflict Management
Support staff well-being by handling minor HR concerns, flagging larger issues to senior leadership, and modeling respectful, inclusive behavior.
- Event Execution
Support the operations and flow of both internal and external events — ensuring FOH is set up, staffed, and executing at a high standard.
- Health & Safety Compliance
Ensure all team members are following service, cleaning, and safety protocols at all times.
- Daily Reporting & Communication
Maintain shift notes, complete checklists, and communicate important updates to the management team.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 4 years of FOH leadership experience in a high-volume or fast-paced environment
- Strong communicator with a calm, confident floor presence
- Proven ability to train and motivate a diverse team
- Basic conflict resolution and HR awareness
- Organized, reliable, and able to take initiative
- Event service experience a major asset
- Serving It Right certification required
