The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate employee records. Responsibilities
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time using payroll software such as Kronos or Ceridian.
- Maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
- Collaborate with HR to manage employee benefits and deductions accurately within the payroll system.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management as required.
- Assist in the reconciliation of payroll accounts, including accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or issues that need resolution.
- Provide support for audits related to payroll processes and documentation.
- Utilize HRIS systems effectively to manage employee information and streamline payroll processes.
Skills
- Proficiency in payroll software such as Kronos, Ceridian, or PeopleSoft is essential.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks is preferred.
- Experience with HRIS systems to manage employee data efficiently.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and generate accurate reports.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial for success in this role.
