The District Sales Manager, Eastern Ontario is responsible for executing the Ontario sales strategy for their district. They will assist with development of regional and product strategies for sales and distribution. Supervises activities of sales force including customer service, training, and preparation of sales forecasts and expense estimates. Spends time in the field working within the retail and on-premise accounts, selling, training and coaching team members.
Key Responsibilities Field Sales Execution
- Manages a sales team: lead, coach, motivate, train and develop the sales team.
- Manages the communication flow to the field sales force through regular meetings.
- Executes the sales strategy in areas of responsibility.
- Assists with the development of volume, revenue and portfolio mix targets in accordance with the Channel Plans.
- Works with sales team on portfolio prioritization by territory.
- Works with the Sr. Ontario Sales Manager and Strategic Account Managers to execute annual plans and supports them with special projects.
- Develops/employs and shares tactics to achieve volume, revenue and share targets for the assigned region.
- Develops and delivers a quarterly operating review for the assigned region.
- Partner with finance department and sales leaders to develop and ensure execution of SG&A.
- Ideates and executes merchandising and sales tools in support for ongoing sales initiatives, new product launches, and retail programming
- Reviews account coverage/service model on an ongoing basis to ensure we are optimally deployed to deliver our business objectives.
What You Bring
- 5 years of relevant industry/field sales management experience in beverage alcohol and/or CPG
- A university degree or college diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience combined with minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience.
- Effective leadership and coaching skills including demonstrated success in hiring, mentoring, coaching, training on fundamentals and developing sales talent
- Embraces our field sales culture
- Strong communication skills, excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Strong MS Office skill set
- Advanced analysis skills with particular attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Ontario will be required
- A clean driving record and a reliable vehicle 5 years old or less
- Smart Serve certified

COMPENSATION: Budgeted Range – ($84,510.00 - $109,366.00)
The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
