The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) is seeking an organized, service oriented, and flexible individual with well-developed communications skills for a 2-year term Training and Assessment Consultant (TAC) position. This position reports to the Manager of Training and Assessment.
The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission is an industry focused organization that values collaboration, responsiveness, equity, diversity, transparency, accountability, innovation, excellence and courage.
As part of a team of Training and Assessment Consultants, you will provide accurate and detailed information to clients regarding eligibility for apprenticeship programs, training and certification in one of Saskatchewan’s designated skilled trades. You will also work closely with other SATCC teams, including Apprenticeship Training Consultants, Case Management Consultants and Exam Coordinators.
To be successful in this role you will be a strong problem solver with highly developed verbal and written communication, organizational and time-management skills. Regular attendance and punctuality are critical.
Our candidate of choice will possess the following:
- The ability to accurately reference, interpret and appropriately apply/communicate legislation, policies and guidelines.
- Interviewing, investigation and communication techniques to effectively assess and provide guidance to clients.
- Superior ability to input, edit, update and retrieve information on a computer using various software packages and applications (databases, word processing and spreadsheets) with accuracy and within established timelines.
- The ability to work, both independently and participate as a contributing member of a variety of teams, to achieve common goals in a positive work environment.
- Ensure deadlines, goals, and objectives are met through planning, prioritizing and organizing a large volume of tasks and projects, taking into consideration frequent interruptions, and sometimes conflicting and changing priorities.
Knowledge for this position would typically be obtained through completion of an office administration certificate program, administrative assistant diploma program or equivalent work experience.
