About the Role:
This Investment analyst role on the North America pricing & structuring team primarily supports the decision making of our North America investment management team. The analyst/associate is responsible for providing financial analysis of investments, aggregating, and interpreting quantitative data, modelling investment opportunities, partnering with business stakeholders, and supporting the senior members of the pricing team on various operational improvements and strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build relationships and trust with the Investment Managers
- Assist in the collection, integration and analysis of data that feeds into Omni Bridgeway’s investment evaluation and decision-making processes
- Provide excel models and analysis to Investment Management stakeholders, analyzing investments from many angles and at various stages of their lifecycle (before, during and after) to provide visibility into key risk, return, and pricing metrics
- Provide support to strategic growth projects, as required
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to the business, as required
- Prepare presentations, as required
- Prepare documents to support management and Board information requests
- Run and perform process improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
We’re after someone who has at least two years' experience in a relevant investment analysis role and has a relevant finance, economics, or mathematical degree. If you have a CFA, MBA or CPA (or in pursuit of) that would be desirable, but not essential for this role.
You’ll also bring:
- Demonstrated interest/experience in analytical modeling, waterfall modeling, and data analysis
- General understanding of key investment metrics, analytical methods, financial statements, risk/return analysis, and accounting principles
- Enjoys finding solutions to complex quantitative problems
- Takes direction and seeks mentorship from senior team members to learn the business
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong excel skills, with modelling experience
- Knowledge of a variety of software applications, including MS office
- Organized, accurate, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
- Able to work independently and in a team
