About The Position The Market Intelligence Analyst is a highly analytical and strategic member of the management team supporting business development initiatives across North America Geochemistry. This role will leverage expertise in the mining industry and market intelligence to assess industry trends, identify growth opportunities, and provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and analysis on geochemistry-related industries, including mining, mine site, and environmental sciences;
  • Identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities for business growth and competitive advantage;
  • Develop data-driven reports, presentations, and forecasts to support strategic planning and investment decisions to increase market share.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business units, including business development, technical development, geoanalytics and operations, to align market insights with business strategies;
  • Monitor competitor activities, regulatory changes, and economic factors affecting the mining industry and geochemical analysis market.
  • Support the development of new business strategies, partnerships, and client engagement initiatives.
  • Analyze customer needs and industry challenges to generate quotations for tailored solutions and innovations.
  • Increase brand awareness through strategic marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to foster relationships and expand business opportunities.
  • Explore new market opportunities and create a lead pipeline to support sales efforts.
  • Observe established safety regulations and comply with all health and safety policies and procedures;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex insights in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities and assess risks.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing tools.
  • Experience in marketing and sales of products and services.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Masters’ degree in Geochemistry, Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience in market analysis, business development, or strategic planning within the geochemistry or related industries.
  • Understanding of sustainability and environmental impact considerations in geochemistry-related markets.
  • Understanding of market dynamics, competitive analysis and financial modeling.
  • Experience working with Business development, research & development, and executive leadership to drive business strategy.
  • Experience with GIS, statistical modeling, or data visualization software.
  • Prior experience in consulting, market research firms, or corporate strategy roles.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities;
  • Be available to work outside normal business hours when required;
  • Ability to use and view a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day;
  • Ability to communicate in various electronic formats including email, video conference and phone;
  • Frequent travel will be required.

  • An estimated annual salary ranging from $90,000 - $95,000 at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
