About the role
The Town of High River is seeking a Permanent Casual Facility Operator to support the Bob Snodgrass Recreational Complex. This position reports directly to the Manager, Recreation, however, daily program direction and oversight will be provided by the Lead Hand Facilities.
The Role
We are seeking a safety-conscious individual who enjoys connecting with others and contributes to creating a positive and lasting experience for patrons enjoying the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex (BSRC). The Facility Operator is responsible for performing a wide variety of building, custodial and operating equipment maintenance. This is a casual position with the possibility of moving into a full-time temporary position. The position is required to participate in a rotational schedule which includes evenings and weekend shifts.
The Candidate
This is an opportunity to diversify your skill set or begin a new career in Recreation. As minimum requirements, you must have a Grade 12 education or equivalent, valid class 5 Alberta Driver's license, and Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED. Specific arena and facility training is preferred and is an asset but will also be provided on the job.
Starting date: September 1, 2025. Hours vary with shifts Sunday to Saturday between 5:30 am and 10:30 pm.
