Job Summary:
Reporting to the Records and Information Management Administrator and the IT Manager, the Digital Archivist positions will undertake a Digitization and Archiving project; to convert audio and video from obsolete media formats into digital files, and to catalogue and create an inventory of these digital files.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities and Work Performed
- Using equipment provided by the IT Manager, converting audio cassettes and reel-to-reel films into digital files.
- Cataloguing and creating an inventory of the converted digital media.
Relationships
- Reports to Records and Information Management Administrator and IT Manager
- Collaborates with other Digital Archivists.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum Academic/Educational Requirements
- Grade 12 completion (or equivalent)
Specific Job Skills and Levels
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel) and Microsoft Windows file systems
- Attentive to detail and Quality of Work.
Minimum Level of Experience
- None
Assets:
- An interest in photography, film-making, and/or film editing would be an asset.
- An interest in syilx history would be an asset.
Working Conditions:

- Drug and alcohol-free workplace
- Busy and stimulating
- Manual dexterity – use of desktop computer and peripherals.
