Junior Accounting Clerk

Position Overview: Full-time Monday – Friday
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Jr Accounting Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our finance department with day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial records and transactions. Proficiency in excel is a requirement of this position.
The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, be proficient in data entry, and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Hours of Work: Day shift 8:30 – 5:00pm
Job Duties (include and are not limited to):
- Accurately enter, post, and file vendor invoices in a timely manner
- Reconcile company credit card transactions and ensure proper documentation
- Maintain accuracy and completeness of data entries, with organized and up-to-date supporting documentation
- Prepare cheques for mailing and ensure timely distribution
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, data entry, and payment
- processing.
- Send accounts receivable (AR) invoices and assist in follow-up and collections as needed
- Provide support to other members of the accounting team as required
- Complete tasks in alignment with The Look Company’s established policies and procedures
- Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel effectively to maximize productivity and meet deadlines
- Perform general clerical duties to support the accounting function
- Apply accounting knowledge to manage and execute project and task-related responsibilities in accordance with company standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education and/or experience in accounting or a related field is an asset
- Prior experience with accounting software—specifically ERP system—Seradex is preferred and considered an advantage
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain orderly documentation
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with vendors, colleagues, and internal teams
- Proven problem-solving abilities to quickly identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial data
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive financial information
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to support and work effectively alongside others
- Customer-service oriented mindset, maintaining professionalism and courtesy in all interactions
