The Role

As a member of the Business Technology Services (BTS) department, you will be responsible for user assistance, problem resolution, project, and application implementations, as well as process leverage. This includes working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, effectively configuring SAP, and utilizing industry best practices to enable the required business processes and analytical or reporting requirements.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with the finance business unit to gather, document and analyze business requirements.

  • Design, configure, and deploy solutions for Finance, Controlling, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Treasury & Tax, Project Systems, Management Accounting, and Financial Planning and Analysis.

  • Function as an SAP subject matter expert, evaluating and driving improvements in S/4Hana.

  • Collaborate with a cross functional SAP team, to support a full suite of SAP S/4Hana areas.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies by implementing necessary controls.

  • Continuously improve, by analyzing current process and recommend optimization, leveraging native SAP capabilities.

  • Provide end user support including troubleshooting and resolving SAP related issues.

  • Participate in SAP user groups and communities to monitor advancements and best practices.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, computer science, engineering, or related discipline.

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in configuring and maintaining SAP S4/Hana Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Accounts Receivable/Payable (AR/AP), Project Systems (PS), and Treasury and Cash Management modules.

  • Proven experience with internal ticketing systems for tracking changes, documentation, test results, and transports.

  • SAP configuration and/or testing functionality experience.

  • Business process knowledge and continuous improvement process experience.

  • A strong willingness to learn.

  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.

Recommended:

  • Previous experience in the mining industry

  • Applicable professional designation (CPA, CMA, CFA, CIMA)

  • Familiarity with SAP S4 Hana Analytics Cloud (SAC)

  • Knowledge and experience in SAP Product Costing and/or Group Reporting

  • Ability to configure in other modules of SAP and desire to expand into other areas.

  • Prior experience in SAP S4/HANA.
