Position Summary

Primaris REIT is currently hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Analyst, Appraisal & Investments to join our team at our Head Office in Toronto, ON. If you have experience with financial analysis and proforma modeling capabilities, working knowledge of Argus Enterprise, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this exciting opportunity is perfect for you!

As the Analyst, Appraisal & Investments you are responsible for responsible for providing analytical support to cross functional areas, including Finance, Asset Management, Leasing and Development.

Role

  • Prepare internal property valuation models and/or work in conjunction with external advisors for International Financial Reporting Standards and other purposes
  • Assist in quarterly and annual financial reporting
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and other analysis to assist in the evaluation, underwriting and execution of potential acquisitions and dispositions
  • Perform variance analyses and reconciliations
  • Assist in a variety of miscellaneous projects requiring financial decisions (e.g. financing, redevelopment and leasing analysis, business evaluation, capital expenditures)
  • Develop and enhance modeling tools and templates
  • Participate in special projects and other duties, as assigned

Requirements To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who are strong communicators and detail oriented. If this opportunity sounds interesting to you, you likely have the following attributes:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, or real estate
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate, valuations, and analysis-driven environment (preferably with retail experience)
  • Excellent knowledge and working experience with Argus Enterprise
  • Excellent financial analysis and proforma modeling capabilities
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computer skills
  • Good understanding of retail real estate fundamentals and retail accounting
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to work under pressure
