About the role

Investment Planning Consultant – Wealth Management | Ottawa

Excellent opportunity exists for experienced Investment Planning Consultants (minimum 5+ years’ experience within Canada) to join a leading financial institution in Ottawa . This role is ideal for seasoned wealth professionals who thrive in a sales, client-focused environment . Proven business development skills are required, as you will play a pivotal role in sourcing and providing financial planning, asset consolidation, and tailored investment solutions to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized financial planning and investment solutions to clients
  • Uncover client needs and offer appropriate solutions or referrals
  • Leverage CRM tools to track and manage leads
  • Develop relationships with internal partners and Centers of Influence (COIs)
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management policies

Experience:

  • 5+ years of wealth management sales experience with a proven track record of success
  • CFP, PFP, QAFP, or RRC designation (minimum 3 years in good standing)
  • Mutual Fund License (minimum 3 years in good standing)
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, risk management, and client relationship building
  • Experience in business development, referrals, and pipeline management
  • Comfortable with variable incentive pay
