What You'll Do The Registered Nurse Educator I is responsible for designing and delivering educational programs for both clinical and non-clinical staff including various National Certification Courses and other system-wide training initiatives. This role involves providing regular support in General Open Labs, conducting educational sessions within departments and on units, assisting with area school events and programs coordinated by Freeman, and assisting with Patient Care Orientation and UAP courses. Additionally, the RN Educator I assists in training employees on the Workday Learning Management System. The RN Educator I exemplifies and promotes the Freeman Health System's Five Star Promise of Compassion, Teamwork, Professionalism, Ownership and Communication.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years nursing experience
  • AHA ACLS within 60 days.
  • AHA ACLS Instructor within 120 days.
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
  • AHA BLS Instructor within 365 days.
  • AHA PALS Instructor within 120 days. AHA PALS Provider within 90 days.
  • Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Education or Healthcare related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting, (ICU, Medical/Surgical or Emergency Department nursing preferred).
