About the Role
The Township is currently seeking an experienced accounting professional with a passion for our community and commitment to the Township’s team. Reporting to the Supervisor, Accounting & Risk Management, the Financial Analyst is responsible for performing intermediate level accounting functions related to payables, receivables and disbursements, property taxes, utility billing and general ledger maintenance.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate has a strong passion for teamwork and customer service with experience in the foundation of accounting analytics, report preparations, and public sector accounting standards. In addition to a post-secondary degree or 3-year diploma in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or Accounting combined with at least 3 years of accounting experience, you will bring strong working knowledge of general ledge and subledger accounts, journal entries to auditing working papers.
You possess excellent communication and intermediate MS Excel skills and ensure a high-performance standard within the department team. A satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Background Check are also required for this role.

This bargaining unit position offers a salary commensurate with experience and education (wage schedule range of $30.62-$36.81 per hour).
