Who you are
- 8-10 years of experience in FP&A, Strategy, or teams with similar responsibilities. A minimum of 5 years in prior technology or SaaS industry is a key requirement
- Experience working with GTM functions (e.g., Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success, Customer Support, Marketing) is highly desirable
- Significant experience in designing and implementing with BI / visualization platforms, FP&A platforms, and advanced Excel functionality (e.g. Power Query, Power Pivot) is a key requirement

- Proven examples in the past of leveraging tools and financial models to influence business partners and inform important and strategic decision making
- Proven success leading diverse teams through multiple Change Management initiatives, preferably in a rapidly growing SaaS-based organization

What the job involves
- Reporting to the Sr. Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Business Partnerships, the Sr. Manager, FP&A Business Partnerships will be responsible for managing the execution of cross-functional financial planning and financial performance reporting, with a specific focus on topline, revenue, andGTM (Go-To-Market) costs.
- In addition to managing the traditional FP&A cycles, the Sr. Manager will act as lead on enabling key financial decisions, often performing analysis to advise on decisions that will impact the financial outlook of the business. The scope of role will be focused on Topline (from Bookings to Annual Recurring Revenue), and GAAP Gross Margin (from Revenue to GTM Costs)
- The role will require a high level of technical aptitude, designing and implementing advanced financial models, converting large volumes of data into tools that are tailored for executive decision making.
- Therefore, significant experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools, FP&A systems, and advanced Excel functionality (e.g. Power Pivot, Power Query) is a strict requirement. Most importantly, the candidate must have a proven track record of achieving outstanding business outcomes through this type of financial modelling and business partnering
- The Sr. Manager will manage 3 direct reports. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of developing talent, demonstrating how they plan for the career path of their team members and create an environment with a clear vision, plan, and expectations.
- In turn, using these expectations to manage the performance of team members accordingly, and driving a high performing and high engagement culture
- Manage and execute financial planning, including:
- Processes and tools that establish cross-functional alignment to the performance and operational requirements to achieve Topline (e.g. New Revenue, Churn) and Cost Efficiency targets (e.g. Sales efficiency)
- Scenario planning, understanding the impact on Long-Range Plan from different outcomes and creating upside and downside financial projections
- Design and implement capacity planning tools to validate the resource levels needed in the future
- Enable planning across different time horizons (quarterly, annual, multi-year)
- Evolve financial performance reporting, including:
- Delivery of financial results to Executive / Investor level audience, including the necessary insights on Budget vs Actual (BvA) performance to help establish the appropriate actions to perform to Budget
- Segmenting Contribution Margin and Profitability further to enhance understanding of profitability levers and enhance quality of financial decisions
- Market, customer, and product level financial trend and insights, understanding the different financial profile of different offering types (e.g. Strategic Partnerships, Marketplace)
- Manage the timely execution of traditional FP&A cycles, including but not limited to Month-End Close, Annual Budgeting, and Quarterly Forecasting
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to advise on decisions that impact the financial outlook of the business, playing an advisor role in decisions, including but not limited to, new product launches, new Strategic Partnerships, and major capital investments
- Manage business partnerships to create shared accountability in maintaining accurate forecasts on headcount and discretionary spending for GTM functions, including Professional Services, Sales, Customer Success, and Customer Support
- Partner with systems focused teams (e.g. Corporate Data Office, Office of CIO) to automate and systemize any analytics or new models that are deemed vital to include in centralized reporting platforms (e.g. FP&A systems, 360 Insights)
- Identify and adopt AI use cases that will strengthen the quality and agility of planning and analyzing
- Work collaboratively with accounting during monthly / quarterly close cycles to ensure actuals are booked with accuracy, including maintaining accurate and up to date accruals
- Direct responsibility for development of direct reports within the team. This includes planning their development and managing their performance at the right cadence
- Proactively work with peers to continue to mature the operation of both the FP&A team and how the FP&A team interacts with other Finance functions
