Smiths Falls / Perth / Brockville Hospitals | Ontario, Canada
Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time
Wage: $18.00–$21.48 per hour (based on experiene)
About the Role
Join a team committed to protecting patients, staff, and visitors across three hospital sites in Smiths Falls, Perth, and Brockville. As a Casual Health Care Security Guard, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and professional hospital environment by performing a variety of security functions including patrols, access control, and emergency response.
Responsibilities
- Provide visible security presence in assigned hospital facilities
- Perform routine patrols and inspections
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies professionally and safely
- Work with hospital staff to de-escalate situations and ensure safety for all parties
- Complete documentation and incident reports as needed
- Support the enforcement of hospital policies, including COVID-19 and mask requirements
- Travel to assigned sites as needed
Requirements
* Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (from WSIB-approved provider)
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (proof required)
- Full MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunization
- Immunization records for Varicella, Pertussis, TB (Step 1 & 2)
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Willing and able to clear a respirator N95 mask fit test
- Valid Full G Class Driver’s License with reliable vehicle
- Able to travel to Kingston for pre-deployment training
- Flexible to work at all three locations (Smiths Falls, Perth, Brockville)
- Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and MOAB
- If not certified, willing to attend Paladin’s complimentary 4-day training (with 6-month commitment)
- Available to commit for at least 6 months
