Job Title: Shipper & Receiver
Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary school and/or post secondary education in relevant field
- Experience in parts
- Experience in inventory
- SAP experience considered an asset
- Administrative experience considered an asset
Position Summary:
As a Shipper & Receiver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving processes. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the timely and accurate shipment of products and materials, as well as the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments. Additionally, you will assist with various inventory management tasks, dispatching, and physical work around the facilities.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate outbound shipments, including preparing shipping documents, selecting appropriate carriers, and scheduling pickups/deliveries.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments, verifying accuracy and quality of products received.
- Assisting with the organizing and maintenance of inventory levels, including performing regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory and parts management as needed, ensuring accurate tracking and availability of materials.
- Dispatch products as required, coordinating with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist with importing and exporting processes, including documentation and customs clearance.
- Perform physical work around the facilities, such as loading/unloading shipments and organizing storage areas.
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve any shipping/receiving issues or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures governing shipping and receiving activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- All other tasks and duties as assigned.
Working Hours:
Normal working hours are 8 working hours from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday-Friday with a 30 minute lunch break. Employee is expected to start work no later than 8:00 am weekdays.
