SALARY STARTS AT $59,000 FULL-TIME HOURS:
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
- Fully On-Site (Remote work not available)
WHAT WILL I BE DOING? This position extracts and analyzes financial and non-financial data from various systems and recommend actions to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of operating departments. This role is a key position for the development and execution of the financial planning cycle. Working with departmental managers and others in the Finance department, you utilize your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help departments maximize short-term and long-term financial success. You enjoy working in a dynamic and fun organization and have the ability to collaborate and develop relationships with diverse internal stakeholders including all levels of management.
- Analyzing financial and non-financial information, assessing trends and variances, and advising on action plans to address gaps and improve margins.
- Providing support to departments in the development of budgets and forecasts, and supporting the budgeting and forecasting deliverables driven by Alterra Mountain Company.
- Developing and maintaining budgeting/forecasting models and reporting templates.
- Coordinating with all levels of management and provide research and analysis to support strategic plans and business initiatives.
- Working with departments to conduct business studies and drive process improvements.
- Working with IT in enhancing the data warehouse for financial and marketing information.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Professional Accounting designation (or working towards) is preferred.
- Three plus years in a similar position, or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial and non-financial data, and communicate the information to operational departments for decision making.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
- Strong research and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced computer skills especially in MS Excel with an ability to develop and modify financial models for budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems and BI software (e.g.: IBM Planning Analytics) is preferred.
