Position Summary
Reporting to the Wedding Sales Manager, the Wedding Coordinator is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and executing weddings at Silvertip Resort. This role works closely with couples, vendors, and internal departments to ensure every detail is delivered flawlessly, from the initial booking through to the final toast. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for wedding clients, from initial inquiry through event completion.
- Preparing and distributing details on Banquet Event Orders (B.E.O.).
- Responding to clients' requests and changes in a timely and friendly manner.
- Conduct site visits, consultations, and planning meetings with couples and vendors.
- Coordinate event logistics, including timelines, room layouts, décor, menus, and audiovisual requirements
- Communicate clearly with culinary, service, and set-up teams to ensure successful event execution
- Be present on the wedding day to coordinate all details
- Ensure all wedding elements align with guest expectations and resort standards
- Handle last-minute changes or challenges with professionalism and poise
- Maintain accurate records, invoices, and contracts
- Follow all safety and health protocols
- Provide excellent customer service with a warm, solution-oriented approach
- Participating in tradeshows.
Requirements
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- ProServe certification required.
- Previous experience in event planning, coordination, or weddings required (1–2 years preferred).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of event software or booking systems is an asset
