Medicine Hat College is welcoming applications for a regular, full time Administrative Assistant, Student Supports, International Education and Mental Health & Counseling (Administrative Assistant II).
A little about the role:
Reporting to the Director, Student Supports, the primary area of responsibility for this position is to provide administrative support and reception services to the Student Supports, International Education and Mental Health & Counselling departments. The position also supports staff in the three areas. This includes Academic Advising, the Academic Couching, Accessibility Services, Indigenous Engagement, Student Employment & Career Centre, Writing Supports, and International Academic Supports among others. This position is a key contact and support for students, public, faculty and staff seeking program and support services information.
Details:
As a successful applicant you'll have:
- Administrative Office Professional certificate or equivalent OR a combination of related education and work experience may be considered
- Two years office experience
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
- Professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
- Significant proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
Terms of Employment
Hours: 35 hours per week
Wage Rate: $23.55 per hour (Start Rate); $26.77 per hour (Job Rate)
