Lakeland College is seeking a dynamic and organized Farm Coordinator to support day-to-day operations across its farm units. This vital role ensures efficient coordination of people, resources, and planning while advancing the success of our Student-Managed Farm (SMF) program and experiential learning model. This role acts as a central point of communication and operational integration between all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Farm Manager to facilitate the efficient use of farm resources – labour, equipment and supplies.
- Plan, schedule and align farm operational activities across all SMF units. Coordinate task deployment assignments for agricultural technicians and SMF student teams.
- Monitor daily operations, resolve challenges, and use key data metrics to guide reporting and improvement. Monitor progress of major tasks to maintain schedules, alignment and efficiency across teams.
- Communicate across teams, students, faculty, and industry partners to ensure operational alignment. Represent the farm at internal and external meetings.
- Coordinate procurement, inventory, and expense tracking to support cost-effective operations.
- Support budgeting processes and financial documentation, including capital project tracking.
- Manage operational records using platforms like PeopleSoft, Microsoft Teams and farm management software.
- Coordinate equipment, vehicle, and infrastructure maintenance and scheduling.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with staffing logistics, onboarding, and collaboration with HR.
- Manage monthly financial transactions, coordinate staff meetings and follow-up on action items, and ensure timely completion of required documentation.
- Organize logistics for key events, demonstrations, and SMF showcases.
Job Requirements
- 2-year post-secondary certificate/diploma
- Minimum 2 years of related experience, agriculture related experience an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; PeopleSoft experience an asset; agriculture related software experience an asset

This is a Full-time Temporary AUPE position at the Vermilion Campus, starting as soon as possible and ending August 5, 2026. The current salary range is $59,788 - $75,341 per annum.
