About The Position The Commercial Summer Student provides administrative support to the Director, Commercial Real Estate across Hazelview's commercial’s portfolio. This role plays an instrumental part in supporting the initial customer service inquiries and maintenance requests, ensuring prompt follow-up and closure.
Key Responsibilities Commercial Leasing
- Plays a support function for commercial leasing prospects, tenant issues/ complaints and manages the Building Stack maintenance platform across the portfolio.
- Works in close collaboration with the Director, Commercial Real Estate, and supports the Sr. Commercial Real Estate Managers (CREM) in managing correspondence, agreements and contracts.
- Assists in providing marketing collateral to prospective tenants and coordinates production and installation of “For Lease” for vacant properties.
- Assists in conducting commercial market surveys.
- Prepares commercial reports and presentations.
- Manages CRM software.
- Prepares and processes purchase orders.
Customer Service
- Ensures that a superior level of co-operation, service and support is provided to all commercial tenants, thereby ensuring tenant satisfaction across the entire portfolio.
- Actively supports the CREMs in collecting rents.
Accounting
- Assists with the Payscan process.
Job Requirements Education and Experience:
- In the process of completing university or post-secondary education.
- 1-2 years of administrative experience would be an asset.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience in a customer service role would be an asset.
Qualifications
- Very good verbal & written communication skills is required.
- A commitment to "Best in Class" Customer Service.
- A professional demeanour with strong communication skills, both verbal and written in French and English.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Self-motivated individual with a “can-do” and “no task is too big or too small” attitude.
- A demonstrated high degree of integrity, diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to speak other languages is considered an asset.
- Actively championing diversity, equity and inclusion to create an environment of belonging
