Job Description
The Regional Field Manager (RFM) is responsible for managing quality service delivery to their client portfolio in a way that meets, or exceeds, customer expectations. RFMs are expected to identify extra revenue opportunities, sometimes referred to as out-of-scope or enhancements, thus helping drive profitable growth for the business. They are to be proficient in understanding customer scopes of work, and possess the ability to effectively explain them to service providers and location managers. The RFM is responsible for establishing new relationships with service providers and customers, while developing existing relationships.
Essential Functions

- Hire and train Field Supervisors or seasonal personnel (if applicable in assigned geography).
- Teach Field Supervisors how to leverage the signed subcontractor agreement with the
- contractors in a fashion that drives performance, without upsetting the contractor.
- Assist with training of sub-contractors with Case FMS app.
- Conduct site visits and inspections, with an emphasis on finding out of scope areas of
- opportunity and submitting the proposals to clients.
- Develop rapport with location managers.
- Qualify service partners for their true resources and capabilities.
- Identify when a site has unique needs that may require various equipment allocations.
- Manage sub-contractors within given geography.
- Analyze root cause when there is a service complaint.
- Become proficient in learning market rate pricing for exterior maintenance jobs, materials, fees, etc.
- Interface with small business owners that specialize in construction, landscaping, excavation, and various other exterior services.
- Vet and quality new service partners, including resources and insurance coverage - when found by procurement.
- Identify safety issues on sites and communicate opportunities for additional services to regional director.
Competencies
- Leadership - ability to drive performance and promote healthy work culture simultaneously.
- Familiar with smart phone and tablet technology.
- Frequent travel throughout assigned region.
- 3+ years of snow / landscape / construction experience preferred, but not required.
- Landscape, snow, tree, and exterior facilities maintenance experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent and strong time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises a team of both seasonal and full-time field employees.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office environment and on outside job sites in the elements. This role uses heavy equipment and shop tools in addition to standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/printers and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands / Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, or walk for an extended period; use hands to type, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The Regional Field Manager must be able to bend, kneel, crawl and squat. This role must also be able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, salaried position, working 40+ hours Monday - Friday. During weather events, or other peak periods, the Regional Field Manager works extended hours as needed during weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.
Travel
This position requires frequent regional travel. This position may require travel anywhere
deemed necessary by Case FMS/LFXPM. Overnight travel is frequent.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plowing and de-icing operations preferred, but not required
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in landscape services / sales / estimating preferred, but not required.
- Valid driver’s license.
