About the role

The Manager, First Nations Liaison (the Manager) represents the BCER and supports/protects Crown interests and obligations through collaborative relationships with First Nations.

Reporting to the Director, First Nations Consultation, this position oversees and undertakes consultation with First Nations on complex applications and supports the development of collaborative consultation approaches with First Nations with respect to oil, gas, and pipeline project proposals. As a key member of the program area, the Manager works in a complex environment which is often under political and public scrutiny while providing expertise both internally as well as externally. Leading a small team this position also provides leadership and advice to BCER staff to support the statutory decision-making process within the Permitting and Authorizations department.

Location: Fort St John or Dawson Creek or Victoria or Prince George or Kelowna

Salary: $91,036.23 - $103,922.02 – Permanent Full-Time, based on a 35-hour work week.

An additional 10.75% Job Family Market Multiplier will be added to the posted salary.

An additional 3% Location Allowance will be added to posted salary for northern location.
