About the role
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Adhere to written preventative maintenance programs as outlined in the Food safety program and as assigned by the Facilities manager.
- Ensure only food grade lubricants and building materials are used at the facility (as provided by the company).
- Ensure proper set-up of equipment to allow for timely and effective production activities
- Ensure ongoing assessment of operation of equipment during production and make adjustments as needed during operations
- Complete repairs as needed/as directed by Facilities manager
- Ensure all repairs are conducted in a manner to prevent contamination of facility or products
- Ensure all refrigeration system requirements are monitored and proper documentation is maintained on a daily basis
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Ensures all company guidelines, GMP’s, policies and other duties are followed and implemented as assigned
- Ensures adherence to Health & Safety guidelines and communicates concerns to management immediately
- Any other duties requested by Management
Licenses/Educational Requirements:
- Minimum educational requirement is Refrigeration Class “B” Operator
- 4th Class Power Engineers license
- Refrigeration system knowledge
- Ammonia experience
- HVAC experience
- Millwright or equivalent experience is an asset
- Knowledge of food processing/manufacturing equipment
- Understanding of hazards related to maintenance tasks
- GMP, HACCP/ Food Safety Training
- Understanding of BRC and FSEP/HACCP Program
Compensation:
- Based on experience and education.
- Health care, LTD, Life Insurance following a 90-day probationary period for yourself and eligible family members (co-paid).
