About the role
Description:
You will play an important role in the daily interaction of guests utilizing the lifts. You will execute the proper, efficient, and courteous loading and unloading of our guests. You will inspect, record, and report the condition of all lift machinery, and maintain proper and safe levels of snow throughout the entire lift station area. You will be an ambassador of our Mountain Village, with extensive knowledge of the mountain, conditions of runs, and current events happening in the Village. As with other departments, a smile is part of the uniform!
Essential Functions:
- Actively direct the proper and efficient loading and unloading of guests of all ability levels, through constant communication, awareness, and decision-making.
- Execute the daily pre-operational inspection of lift machinery in order to accurately complete a legal lift-log document. Any irregularities are reported to lift maintenance and the log is then filed for future reference.
- Help with our ticket validation system.
- Foster excellent guest relations through positive interaction with guests.
- Knowledgeably and efficiently administer emergency procedures if required.
- Successfully cope with all conditions associated with this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Requirements:
- Previous lift operating experience an asset.
- Intermediate skiing/boarding ability.
- Able to lift 20 lbs.
- First Aid training an asset.
- Able to work in sub-zero temperatures for long periods of time.
