Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Dental Receptionist to join our team at Revive Dental Clinic. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the dental office and supporting both the clinical and administrative teams.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in upon arrival.
- Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as needed.
- Confirm appointments, follow up with patients on appointment reminders.
- Manage and update patient schedules for maximum efficiency.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and messages promptly, providing information and answering inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and updated patient records in the practice management system.
- Handle patient data entry, including personal and medical history forms.
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients.
- Process and submit insurance claims, follow up on claims, and resolve any billing issues.
- Collect patient payments, co-pays, and manage outstanding balances.
- Educate patients on office policies, fees, and procedures.
- Coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and treatment plans as directed by the dental team.
- Maintain office cleanliness and ensure the waiting area is welcoming and organized.
- Handle supply orders and inventory management.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Dental receptionist or medical office experience is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in a dental or medical office setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office Suite, dental practice management software).
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance protocols is an advantage.
- Friendly, empathetic, and patient-centered.
