With a strong reputation for technical excellence, we support commercial and specialized aircraft maintenance through advanced engineering solutions and dedicated customer service.

Position Summary:

HeavyAero is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Engineer with a P.Eng. designation to join our high-performing engineering team. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical acumen, leadership, and regulatory knowledge to ensure projects are delivered safely on time, and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project work scopes, schedules, and resource plans in collaboration with maintenance, engineering, supply chain, and quality teams.
  • Act (as needed) as the primary point of contact for assigned aircraft projects—communicating with internal teams, customers, and vendors to ensure project transparency and alignment.
  • Monitor project progress daily; identify risks and roadblocks; implement corrective actions and escalate critical issues as needed.
  • Assist in cooordinating the induction, maintenance execution, inspection, and return-to-service processes for aircraft projects.
  • Ensure all engineering documentation, parts provisioning, and labor resources are prepared ahead of key milestones.
  • Track and report project KPIs including turnaround time (TAT), cost performance, resource utilization, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support contract compliance by managing scope changes, work order adjustments, and customer approvals.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and ensure engineering activities meet TCCA, FAA, and/or EASA compliance standards.
  • Drive post-project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, and customer experience in future projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
  • P.Eng. designation
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in aviation, aerospace, or related industries.
  • Proven experience with aircraft maintenance, modifications, or MRO operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of TCCA, FAA, and/or EASA standards.
  • Proficiency with CAD and engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is considered an asset.

Why Join HeavyAero?

  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced aviation environment with state-of-the-art facilities.
