About the role

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Technician plays a key role in delivering day-to-day operational, administrative, and technical support across a portfolio of Class A commercial properties. This hands-on position requires a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality to uphold the performance standards of these first-class facilities.

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex technical issues, synthesizing diverse information sources, and applying both data-driven insights and practical experience to develop effective solutions. They should be adept at designing and refining workflows and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.

As part of the IT team, the Technical Support Analyst leverages advanced technical expertise to deploy, configure, update, maintain, and troubleshoot the hardware and software components that form the core of the IT infrastructure. The role includes optimizing systems performance, supporting end-users, and ensuring reliability and availability of IT services within the facility environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for employee and tenant technical requests, providing timely and effective troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, including updates, antivirus scans, and performance checks.
  • Install, support, and maintain networking infrastructure and cabling.
  • Support on-site and remote users with Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • Configure, update, and deploy workstations and systems for optimal availability and performance.
  • Monitor system performance and utilization and conduct regular tuning and optimization of endpoints.
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and testing of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related technical issues involving servers, networks, and systems equipment.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, maintaining a high level of technical proficiency.
  • Evaluate and propose innovative IT solutions to support evolving business needs.
  • Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for new hardware or software tools.
  • Create, maintain, and improve technical documentation, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Undergraduate degree in Information Technology or recognized equivalent
  • Results driven with the ability to retain composure under stress with excellent problem-solving skills required
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communications skills required
  • Highly organized and systematic work habits required
  • Ability to participate in complex projects, with creative thinking skills required
  • Ability to multitask with a high degree of focus required
  • Experience working with HP and Dell hardware
  • Experience with Microsoft O365 software
  • Experience with Property Management software (Yardi, Snaile, Butterfly MX)
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • High level of initiative and self-direction
  • Ability to effectively help clients and other team members while remaining focused on assigned initiatives required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
