The Ministry of Corrections and Policing is seeking a skilled, ethical, confident individual to work at Pine Grove Correctional Center to provide comprehensive clerical support in Prince Albert. We are seeking a candidate who is honest, has integrity, will treat everyone with dignity and respect, will be committed to the pursuit of excellence, will exhibit leadership and professionalism, will embrace diversity and equality and will be responsible and accountable.
As administrative support, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of office equipment such as photo copiers and facsimiles; enter and retrieve data using various software programs; maintain files and records and retrieve and search files for information; and provide reception services and general program information.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and positive interpersonal skills, with a keen sense to detail. You will be a flexible and positive individual who enjoys a fast-paced challenging environment with diverse job expectations. You will have knowledge of applicable computer hardware and software applications and terminology and will have demonstrated the ability to input, update, retrieve, maintain, format, and transmit information using computer software with speed and accuracy. Your ability to accurately type and edit correspondence and other documents and your ability to use tact and diplomacy when serving clients and colleagues will contribute to your success in this challenging position.
The knowledge required for this position is typically obtained through the completion of an office education or business administration program, combined with experience providing financial and administrative support services. Our successful candidate would typically have previous experience in providing financial and administrative support services.

Hours of Work**:** A - SGEU Office 36 - one day off every two weeks
Criminal Record Check Requirement**:** The successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment
