About the role
We are hiring for a Guest Services Representative for to join our team and also provide casual cover for our Night Audit team. Successful candidate must be available to work all shifts. This is an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge of Front Office operations for an individual who is service and detailed oriented.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and process hotel registration.
- Process customer credit at check-in in accordance with hotel policy.
- Provide guests with assistance at the front desk throughout their stay.
- Make reservations in accordance with hotel yield management practices.
- Arrange for services requested by the guest by working with other departments as appropriate.
- Create 100% guest satisfaction with a ‘Yes I Can!’ approach and by seeking to exceed guest expectations.
- Give personal attention, take personal responsibility and use teamwork when providing guest service.
- Provide coverage for Night Audit shifts when staffing needs arise
Job Requirements/Qualifications: We are looking for people who commit to strong work ethics and are flexible to work various shifts. A successful candidate must possess:
- A background of customer service
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality or Tourism Management.
- Skilled in using point of sale systems and/or other back-of-the-house systems, e.g. Opera, Microsoft Office, Email.
- Excellent communication skill in English.
- Professional attitude, organizational skill and attention to details
- Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure in a fast paced environment
- A positive demeanor of helpfulness and empathy
- Experience in hotel preferred, but not a definite requirement
- Fluency in a second language is an asset
- Only applicants legally able to work in Canada and reside in the Lower Mainland will be considered.
