Job Description – Credit Analyst with Technical Skills

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in credit and lending processes, combined with foundational programming and analytical skills. This is a hybrid role requiring approximately 70% credit business knowledge and 30% technical proficiency.

Key Requirements:

• Credit Domain Expertise:
• Solid understanding of key credit metrics used by underwriters during deal adjudication, such as TDS (Total Debt Service), GDS (Gross Debt Service), LTV (Loan-to-Value), and Exposure.
• Familiarity with how these credit metrics are calculated is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of data elements commonly found in credit bureau reports (Equifax and TransUnion).

Technical & Analytical Skills:

• Basic programming skills, including:
• Use of conditional logic (if – else if – else)
• Loops and logical operators
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and formulas.
• Basic knowledge of SQL (preferably Oracle), including:
• Writing SELECT queries
• Performing joins between two or more tables, especially in parent/child relationships

• Strong business acumen in credit assessment
• Analytical thinker with the ability to translate business requirements into logic
• Comfortable working with both business and technical teams

Status In Canada: PR/Citizen

Work environment: Hybrid (2 days at client office in Downtown Toronto)

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
