Job Description
- Perform structural welding on commercial, industrial and agricultural construction sites
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding procedures
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently
- Carry out ironwork and site preparation for precast wall panel installation
- Maintain and care for company welding rig (keep clean, organized, and in good working condition)
- Work effectively within a 3-5 person crew
- Assist in a variety of tasks that help the progress of the build
- Adapt to working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Take direction and closely collaborate with foremen and supervisors
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Applicants successful in the interview process will be asked to complete a pre-employment assessment as part of the final hiring process
- Hold CWB and a valid Journeyman welding ticket
- Previous structural steel welding experience
- Ability to weld in any position at various heights
- The ability to lift at least 50lbs and comfortable with heights with proper safety restraints
- Valid Class 5 license, acceptable driver’s abstract, and reliable transportation
- Valid Standard First Aid, Fall Protection and Aerial Work Platform
- Available to work away from home Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday
- Minimum 44-50 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Local to willing to relocate to Central Alberta

- Ironworker ticket
- CWB Welding Supervisor ticket
