Accounts Payable Specialist

Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting career? CAA Saskatchewan is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Department. This position is based at our Head Office location.
About the Role:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate processing of accounts payable transactions for multiple companies. This role is ideal for individuals working towards an Accounting Certification with at least two years of experience in the accounting field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Code and process expenses for all companies using a computerized system
- Process Purchasing Card transactions and assist with Purchasing Card (P-Card) administration
- Reconcile and balance various general ledger accounts
- Reconcile and remit company payables
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Skills & Qualifications:
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Excel and keyboarding
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with PST, GST, and HST policies and regulations
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately and efficiently key transactions
- Effective communication skills to interact with employees from various departments
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day
