About the role

Job Description The Product Marketing Manager, Govstack is the strategic voice of our Govstack product in the market. This role is accountable for developing and driving the product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement strategies. Working in close partnership with the Product Management team, Sales, and the broader Marketing team, you will ensure our value propositions deeply resonate with government buyers and IT decision-makers, equipping our sales force and fueling all marketing campaigns designed to drive adoption and revenue. You will also provide crucial messaging and strategic insights to support lead generation efforts.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Product Positioning & Messaging: Define and articulate clear, differentiated product positioning and value propositions, tailored to specific government personas and buying centers. Develop compelling messaging frameworks, core narratives, and key selling points for Govstack across its modules and capabilities.
  • Sales Enablement Strategy & Content: Create and manage a comprehensive suite of sales enablement content specifically for Govstack, including sales decks, battlecards, competitor analysis, FAQs, product sheets, and demo scripts. Ensure the sales team is trained in new features, messaging, and competitive differentiators. Ensure sales materials are easily accessible and regularly updated.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis focused on the government technology landscape. Identify industry trends, market opportunities, and competitive advantages/disadvantages. Provide insights that inform the product roadmap development and marketing strategy.
  • Product Launch & Lifecycle Management: Lead the marketing efforts for new features and major product launches, coordinating across Product, Sales, and Marketing teams. Ensure consistent product messaging across all internal and external touchpoints.
  • Pricing & Packaging Support: Conduct research and provide market insights to support product pricing and packaging strategies in collaboration with Product and Sales leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the central knowledge hub for Govstack within the Marketing team. Collaborate closely with other PMMs to ensure consistency in overarching brand messaging and share best practices where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Insights and Reporting: Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
  • Data Exploration: Work independently to collate and analyze data using predetermined tools, methods, and formats to create standard insights.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
  • Internal Client Relationship Management: Build effective working relationships within the internal client organization, delivering high-quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Information and Business Advice: Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
  • Digital Marketing Plan Execution: Provide analysis to monitor performance of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Channels and Touchpoints Integration: Perform channel analysis and integration techniques, aiming to provide an understanding of customer touchpoints, marketing channels, and opportunities for channel integration.
  • Digital Channels and Technology Management: Support digital channel management by analyzing best practices through competitive benchmarking, customer insights, A/B testing, feedback from cross-functional partners, and site feature/functionality enhancement.
  • Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  • Brand Strategy and Effectiveness: Assist in the management of brand(s) by implementing brand plans and guidelines and measuring effectiveness.
  • Customer Needs/Experience Research: Support customer and market research by performing customer and market research and analysis techniques.

What you will bring to the team:

  • 3-7 years of progressive experience in product marketing, with a strong preference for experience in B2G (Business-to-Government) or enterprise software, ideally with government-specific solutions.
  • Proven ability to define product positioning, develop compelling messaging, and create effective sales enablement content.
  • Strong understanding of the public sector buying journey.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for translating technical features into business benefits.
  • Ability to conduct thorough market and competitive research.
  • Highly collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
