Job Description
Aramark is recruiting an experienced Custodial Services Manager to oversee our custodial operations at 3 manufacturing plants in Nova Scotia. Based in Waterville, Nova Scotia, the Manager will be responsible for developing and executing facility solutions to ensure all heath and safety standards are met at the 3 sites and lead the operations of the facility accounts by ensuring areas of responsibility meet objectives and client expectations. The Manager is expected to travel to the other sites 1-2 times per month.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for running daily cleaning operations of cafeterias, offices, and lavatories
- Hire, train, and coach new staff providing a safe working environment
- Manage and direct approximately 40 non-unionized staff throughout the 3 locations
- Ensure staffing levels are met and the right people are in the right job
- Ensure staff scheduled for roles are trained and/or cross trained to complete tasks
- Maintain inventory and ordering oversight to ensure proper levels are stocked
- Manage and maintain safety reports
- Process daily paperwork; update reporting documentation as required
- Conduct root cause analysis for service fail issues and define corrective action plans to avoid reoccurrence
- Participate in regular business and performance reviews with customer

Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role in commercial cleaning services
- Model leadership to ensure safety, quality and service excellence for employees and clients
- Experience using and training on commercial equipment such as auto scrubbers, floor buffers
- Be prepared to perform some cleaning tasks in the absence of employees as necessary
- Must possess effective communication skills – verbal and written
- Good computer skills to navigate platforms and generate reports – MS Office
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and own vehicle to travel to sites
