Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, chartered, cargo and emergency air transport services to Nunavik and beyond- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - for over 45 years. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through Makivvik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of more than 30 aircraft and employs more than 1000 employees in one of the world’s most challenging flight environments.

Air Inuit Management and its team of dedicated employees are committed to pursuing their tradition of providing safe, punctual and courteous air service for the growing number of people living and doing business in this enchanting region of Nunavik in Northern Québec.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The reservation Lead agent performs the same tasks as a regular agent, but he also supports the supervisor in his daily tasks and helps in the training of new employees. He is also available to support the other reservation's team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help in new employee training
  • Runs daily sales reports
  • Take reservations and process payments.
  • Modify itineraries.
  • Confirm flights with passengers.
  • Inform customers on company policies.
  • Perform administrative duties related to the reservations department.
  • Establish a link of confidence with the customer and find the best solutions possible to give a first-class service.
  • Assist Air Inuit stations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Be bilingual (French/English), Inuktitut would be a complementary asset.
  • Be motivated.
  • Capability of establishing a positive contact with customers.
  • Be familiar with Windows, Outlook, Internet and the knowledge of the Gabriel reservation system would be an asset.
  • Team spirit.
  • Airline experience will be considered as asset.
  • Be familiar with the served territory.
  • Be available to work on shifts Monday to Sunday.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Modified work schedule: 5 days on / 2 days off.
  • Hours between 8:00 and 20:00.
  • Weekends on rotation (09:00-17:00)

COMPENSATION

The salary is determined according to the company’ compensation policy.

Starting annual rate : $44 712
