About the role

About Us We’re one of Canada’s largest pension investors, with CAD$299.7 billion of net assets as of March 31, 2025.

We invest funds for the pension plans of the federal public service, the Canadian Forces, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Reserve Force. Headquartered in Ottawa, PSP Investments has its principal business office in Montréal and offices in New York, London and Hong Kong.

Capturing and leading complex global investments requires us to work as one to seize valuable opportunities, in close collaboration with some of the world’s top companies. At PSP Investments, you’ll join a team of motivated and engaged professionals, dedicated to propelling our organization further than ever before. In Budget 2023, the Government of Canada announced that PSP Investments would act as the independent and exclusive investment manager for the Canada Growth Fund (CGF) a $15 billion investment vehicle that was established to support the growth of Canada’s clean economy. About The Team The Canada Growth Fund Investment Management (CGFIM) Team is a new team created within PSP to manage the C$15bn Canada Growth Fund. CGF’s mandate is to catalyze substantial private sector investment in Canadian low-carbon projects, technologies, businesses, and supply chains by deploying innovative funding structures that help mitigate certain risks and uncertainties inherent to investing in the low-carbon economy. CGF invests in Canadian projects and companies across themes such as carbon capture, hydrogen, renewable natural gas, clean technology, and critical minerals.

  • Performing sustainability due diligence, including researching potential environmental, social, political and reputational issues, and drafting and presenting summary slides and memos

  • Coordinating aspects of CGFIM’s asset management from an impact perspective, including the annual update process to the forward-looking anticipated avoided emissions models
  • Conducting research, attending meetings and supporting external relations strategies across CGF’s wide range of government and non-government key stakeholders
