About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join our growing team in Vancouver, BC. In this customer-facing role, you will act as the technical bridge between our engineering teams and our clients.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working closely with customers, and influencing product direction with real-world feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical liaison between our customers and internal engineering/product teams.
Assist the sales team with pre-sales technical support, including presentations, demos, and technical evaluations.
Understand customer requirements and help architect solutions using our technologies.
Support onboarding, integration, and deployment of products in client environments.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting, configuration assistance, and guidance to resolve customer technical issues.
Develop and deliver technical training, documentation, and workshops for customers.
Collect and communicate customer feedback to influence product features and roadmap.
Stay current with industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
3+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role such as FAE, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Support.
Strong foundation in one or more of the following areas:
Embedded systems and firmware development
Cloud or edge computing (Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, etc.)
Networking and IoT device deployment
AI/ML application integration
Experience with scripting or development tools (e.g., Python, C/C++, Bash).
Ability to travel (10–30%) within Canada and internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Hybrid Edge Cloud architecture or Device-First AI environments.
Familiarity with protocols such as MQTT, OPC UA, REST APIs, or Modbus.
French language skills (for Canadian clients outside BC) are a plus.
Previous startup or high-growth tech company experience.
