Job Summary

The trainer is responsible for training, monitoring, and evaluating the performance of the passenger service employees while ensuring that corporate and passenger service standards and policies are adhered to.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform initial and periodic training.
  • Maintain training records of all employees by the rules and regulations of the
  • Airport Authority.
  • Revise and update training needs.
  • Maintain and report on agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and perform quality assurance
  • function as required.
  • Develop training materials and establish training programs according to standards.
  • Prepare reviews and progress reports for initial and recurrent training programs.
  • Prepare and complete assessments for all passenger service employees.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the current collective agreement.
  • Ensure compliance with all Swissport's corporate and airline safety and security procedures to
  • meet/exceed regulatory standards.
  • Maintain good relations with customers and airport authorities,
  • Provide support to front-line staff and management, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure workforce adherence to company policies and procedures,
  • Administer new hires, recalls, terminations, and changes via the Dayforce system.
  • Conduct investigations on irregularities, accidents, and complaints as per reporting requirements.
  • Ensure senior management is informed of important issues, such as flight irregularity, promptly.

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant training and management experience.
  • Leadership and people skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in French and English.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Flexible to work various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Ability to understand and deal with conflicts.
  • Computer literate (Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Customer focus and quality awareness.
