About the role

CERTIFIED NETWORK TECHNICIAN

Full-time, 12 months

Location: Information Technology Services Itinerant

Various locations throughout Simcoe County

Salary Range: $28.19 - $32.97 per hour

Starting Date: As soon as possible.

Qualifications Required :

Two (2) year college diploma in a technology related field or equivalent experience and certifications. A minimum of two (2) years' experience in the computer service industry. A+ certification or equivalent training and experience. Training and experience with all aspects of PC, iPads, Chromebooks, projectors, and network support including hardware and software installation, maintenance and trouble shooting in a networked and stand-alone scenario. Training and experience in several operating systems such as Windows 11/10, Apple iOS, and Chrome OS. Training and/or experience with Microsoft Office and other mainstream applications. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as an effective team member. Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning in the technology field.

This position requires travel throughout Simcoe County and as such, a valid drivers licence and reliable transportation is required; mileage payable at the board approved rate.

Qualifications Preferred:

Information Technology (IT) Industry recognized certifications. IT experience specific to the education sector.

This is a full-time 12-month position, forty (40) hours per week**.** The duties, responsibilities and requirements for the position are not limited to the above but may include all of those in the job description for Certified Network Technician.

Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is mandatory for all full-time permanent employees, even if currently in receipt of an OMERS pension.
