General Description

Our client is looking for a Cutover/Release Manager to provide services as outlined below to help coordinate business and IT stakeholders within their Cybersecurity and IT Resiliency Program. The succesful candidate will define release and cutover strategies and manage multiple releases of ongoing and in-parallel cybersecurity projects.

Our client has updated its cybersecurity vision and strategy. A transformation plan and roadmap for improvement initiatives have been developed. The Release and Cutover Manager will work closely with the Cybersecurity Program Manager, the Cybersecurity & Resiliency team, the Planning, Architecture and Design team, and other technical leaders across the organization.

Release and Cutover Manager will,

• Perform initial assessments of releases and cutovers by engaging with the right stakeholders to

identify scope, impacted services, program objectives and communication plan.

• Create integrated release and cutover plans that identify project teams, milestones, deployment

strategies, dependencies, business impacts, sequencing, risk & contingency, rollback and transition.

• Lead other teams to execute release and cutover plans through careful preparation, definition of

go/no-go criteria, performing quality checks through the cutover and post go-live reporting.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will provide release and cutover delivery leadership across the program and specific executable plans for the projects including but not limited to:

  1. Release Planning and Coordination

  2. Release Process Management

  3. Release Risk and Quality Management

4.Cutover Assessment and Planning

5.Cutover Plan Development

6.Cutover Plan Execution and Orchestration

7.Integrated Release and Cutover Activities

Deliverables

Draft and execute final cutover plans per project for:

  1. SIT Build releases and environment cutovers

  2. UAT Build releases and business validation cutovers

  3. Production Cutover releases and full business cutovers

  4. Release and Cutover plans in excel or .mpp cutover.

  5. Tracking Issues Log related to cutover.

  6. Lessons Learned report for each cutover iteration for each project.

  7. Cutover kick-off material per project

  8. Other plans as related to cutover process.

  9. Weekly Status Updates during course of project

  10. Daily status updates during course of cutover

Knowledge & Experience

 Minimum of 8+ years of combined experience; Project Management & Cutover/Release Planning

including on-premise, technical integrations and SaaS deployments.

 Collaboration, sharing information and actively developing an internal and external network to leverage and evolve best practices and supporting success of team members.

 Focus on customers: creating positive experiences through active listening, seeking feedback for action continuous improvements, and follow through.

 Communicating with all levels of management.

 Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 Mature problem-solving skills, along with a demonstrated ability to organize complex business topics into common language.

 Experience working with external software vendors.
