ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)
-
Secondary School Education Diploma.
-
Certificate in Basic Food Safety or Food Safety and Sanitation.
-
Health Care Food Service Certificate preferred.
-
Able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
-
Computer skills to include Outlook, Order entry, Basic Word, CBORD, Safety Monitor Pro, knowledge of intranet navigation.

Understanding of WHMIS, Infection Control, Family and Patient Centered Care.
-
Ability to handle cash and make change.
-
One year Food Services experience in a Health Care setting.
-
General Therapeutic Diet Knowledge preferred.
-
Satisfactory attendance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)

Flexibility and availability to work days, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Hands on preparation of food for patients, cafeteria and catering services.

Responsible to handling cash, giving change, operating cash register.

Responsible for working in all areas of the kitchen, dish room and cafeteria.
