YOUR IMPACT What The Role Offers Within the OpenText corporate environment, the Lead Network & Security Engineer will be a member of a greater network security team responsible for the global enterprise network security and all facets that make up a typical enterprise network security environment. You will take part in the design, implementation, and support of network and security technologies to solve large, strategic problems. The Network & Security Engineer will be responsible for implementations and operational maintenance and support of various technologies and products as typical of an enterprise global environment; these technologies include but are not limited to the following:

  • In-depth knowledge of general networking as it relates to the OSI model with emphasis on the security layers and protocols relating to each.
  • Working knowledge of SNMP, Syslog, AAA, IP Super/subnetting, DHCP, NTP, QoS, NetFlow, and BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) as they relate to security enhancement and diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of Cisco/Arista routers, switches, firewalls, wireless components, and related security functions such as rule sets, access lists, policy maps, route spoof detection, root bridging, ARP flooding, MAC spoofing detection.
  • Checkpoint firewalls and associated feature sets.
  • Fortinet firewalls and associated feature sets.
  • Palo Alto firewalls and associated feature sets.
  • Prisma Access and Cisco AnyConnect VPN client setup and management.
  • Cisco ISE with an understanding of certificate-based authentication, profiling, and posturing.
  • Security layers/products as they tie into Cisco networking, voice, and video components.
  • Arista wireless technologies, including Arista Agni and Wireless Intrusion Prevention System (WIPS).
  • Candidate should be familiar with ITIL methodology and change management.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Candidate must have at least 5+ years of experience as a Senior Network & Security Engineer.
  • Candidate experience should be within a medium to large enterprise.
  • Candidate experience should have been broad and covering multiple disciplines within the network and security fields.
  • The candidate is preferred to have worked within a global team in his prior role.
  • The candidate should be experienced in developing technical documentation with diagrams.
  • Candidate should exhibit an ability to work independently, think and act responsibly, and display a good work ethic.
  • Candidate should be able to demonstrate organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills.
