We are Btrust. Since 2008, we’ve innovated the Canadian grocery retail experience specializing to sell primarily fresh and healthy foods. Our goal is to introduce diverse food culture to every family table. We offer a wide range of products to cater to various taste preferences and budgets. The company is headquartered in Oakville, Ontario. In 2008, we opened our first Btrust Supermarket at the Golden Square, a shopping center in Mississauga, Ontario. Today, we manage a nationwide chain of 4 stores, covering an impressive 120,000 square feet and offering more than 20,000 different products, allowing families across Canada to enjoy fresh, healthy, and flavorful meals.
Major Responsibilities:
- Able to use tools to cut different kinds of meat.
- Cuts prepares and may wrap products for the fresh meat counter, according to production schedule.
- May stock and rotate product in the meat counter, checking code dates on product, pulling product that is off code and adjusting the cutting requirements to what products are required.
- May assist with the proper ordering, rotation and inventory control of product in the department. Maintains good knowledge of the preparation and display of products in the department.
- Follows all applicable Company policies and procedures, Government regulations, Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.
- Provides service to customers and responds to specific requests for products. advice to customers on product preparation/cooking or responds to customer special requests.
- May receive stock, unload, and put away product, and retrieve product from freezer/cooler.
- Sanitation and department clean up.
- Assists the Department Head/ Manager or, Assistant Department Head in the overall successful operation of the Department.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Head/ Manager, Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Skills and Qualification Requirements**:**
- Two years of On-job training required
- High school diploma or equivalent; education or certification related to the butcher profession is preferred.
- Pay Attention to details
- Excellent interpersonal / customer service skills
- Team Player
- May require heavy lifting up to 50lbs
- Able to stand and walk for a long period of time
- Able to work weekends and holidays as required
- Able to communicate in both English and Chinese would consider an asset
