Chef Anthony Walsh has crafted menus featuring eclectic interpretations of familiar Maritime fare. Whether you’re sampling an incredible variety of raw bar delicacies or tucking into a piping hodge podge, Drift’s dishes aim to deliver equal parts comfort and surprise.

We are looking for a Kitchen Steward to support our kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a smooth workflow in the kitchen, while adhering to safety and hygiene standards. The successful candidate must be available to work evenings.

What you will be doing:

• Operating dishwashers efficiently
• Ensuring that kitchen equipment, utensils, plates, and work areas are cleaned and sanitized to meet health and safety standards
• Cleaning and sanitizing dishwasher mats, dish carts and dish racks
• Responsible for receiving, stocking and organizing food and supply orders
• Safely handling and storing cleaning products
• General dish area maintenance which includes sweeping, mopping, organization and removal of garbage and compost
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

The person we are looking for has:

• Previous experience working in a dishwasher role or similar environment an asset
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to take direction and remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
• Organizational skills and an ability to multi-task
• Able to spend 100% of the time standing
• The ability to handle heavy lifting up 50 lbs
• A reliable form of transportation, as public transportation may not be available late at night
