We are currently seeking a Dining Cook to assist in the preparation of meals for ONE CARE programs. This is a great opportunity for individual's seeking weekday only kitchen prep work. This a part Time role that takes place on Monday's Tuesday's and Thursday's working 19.5 hours per week.
SUMARY:
The Cook assists with the preparation of meals and performs clean up duties as directed by Operations Lead - Nutrition. The Dining Cook will also work at offsite CSS Congregated Dining Programs and be responsible to assist the Operations Lead – Nutrition with ordering/purchasing and prepare meals within budgetary requirements for CSS Congregated Dining Programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate in Safe Food Handling
- Physical ability to manage the requirements; heavy lifting, working in heat and humidity.
- Minimum one year work experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Current driver’s license, insurance coverage and available transportation.
- Working knowledge of special dietary needs including but not limited to: diabetic, low-salt, low-fat, Celiac, modified diet textures.
- Ability to speak French is an asset.

One Care is a community based, charitable, not-for-profit health organization providing supportive care to families in Huron and Perth counties. We help older adults and people with health challenges to live at home within a network of support and in a caring community.
One Care was formed in 2011 when three long standing organizations came together as One Care. Since then, we have continued to provide services to support and strengthen the health, independence and quality of life for individuals and their families.
At One Care, we provide a wide variety of services and programs including day programs, personal support and visiting, respite, grocery deliveries, clinics, dining programs, and many more.
