Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and outgoing individual to join the team as a Custom's Processing Clerk out of terminal in Brampton.

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Day Shift: 0800 - 1630

Night Shift:2000-0430

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain professional customer relations by identifying and meeting customer needs.
  • Keeps Manager informed of any problems, schedule changes, vacations.
  • Finding, fixing and preventing problems/delays in cross border freight movement.
  • Ensure policies, procedures are followed.
  • Ensure that imaging, sending paperwork to brokers and stack manifest are done in a timely fashion to keep the freight moving to the customer as per posted transit times.
  • Ensure that inland bonds are handled quickly to keep delays to a minimum
  • Completes other tasks and projects as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cross border operations in dealing with Customs, Brokers, Shipper/Consignees.
  • At least 1 year experience with PARS processing.
  • Flexible to work different shifts
  • Good computer skills
  • Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage stress.
  • Ability to work with fluctuating volumes
  • Ability to rapidly learn and perform tasks related to the department, new regulations or process/procedure changes.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively
  • Ability to work with and manage people.
  • Ability to work with and maintain an effective working relationship with our U.S. partners.
  • Ability to communicate with others and gather and understand information to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with job.
