Job Description
Department, Unit or Project Description:
We are seeking a Research Assistant to support data collection for a qualitative research project on child health valuation. The project led is Dr Feng Xie from the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence and Impact at McMaster University.
Job Summary:
Provide support to research projects including the collection of data and basic data analysis. Work is performed under general direction and guidance.
Accountabilities:

Work with the Research Coordinator and/or Principle Investigator to gather and compile data.

Assist in the documentation of research protocols.
-
Apply established research methodology to ensure all research material is handled in accordance with established protocols, policies and procedures.

Record and maintain accurate records.

Conduct literature searches to support research project.
-
Seek guidance and direction from Research Staff or Manager.
Qualifications:
Education: Completed or currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program.
Experience: Prior experience in a research environment or related coursework.
Assets:
-
Strong communication, organization and time management skills.
-
Ability to function both independently and collaboratively within a team.
-
High precision and attention to detail. · Familiarity with qualitative research methodology.

Knowledge and proficiency with data collection and management applications, including Zoom and Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
