The Corporate FP&A Manager plays an essential role in growing talent in our business through collaboration and sharing best practices with the FP&A team. You know how to be curious about their opportunities and how to be real with feedback and support.
The role is responsible for developing, managing and enhancing all FP&A tools, processes and information across corporate teams. You will be comfortable regularly interacting with senior leadership and providing them with insightful reporting and analysis. You will ensure the information is not only accurate, relevant and actionable but also understandable to a wide audience of stakeholders. The key focus will be on mentoring, developing and creating a cohesive analyst team while delivering effective and efficient analysis to the business. You will be knowledgeable in leading-edge technology to help transform how we gather and interpret data today to a more automated, forward-looking place.
This role will have 2 direct reports that they will manage, coach and develop through fearless leadership. They will also be part of a broader range of analysts within the business that they can learn from as well as offer support and mentorship to the group. The successful candidate will have a proven collaborative and inclusive approach to support and be a true business partner to the operating channels and departments. You will leverage your experience and thorough understanding of data structure and capture processes to deliver scalable and sustainable business support.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Corporate FP&A Manager undertakes the following RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as the financial 'analytical engine' for the channel, implementing systems and processes for financial data governance to ensure the FP&A function delivers value to decision-makers within the organization.

Partner with demand planning and become an integral part of the S&OP process

Define KPIs for the Corporate teams by analyzing operational and financial data
-
Be a storyteller, turning data into easily understood trends and impacts that can be actioned by the business to improve operational efficiency and profitability
-
Work with IT and BI to develop a strong data strategy for the channel which will support our future needs for data-driven decision making and deeper visibility and reporting into corporate team performance

Conceptualize and help to build centralized tools (including dashboards) that the Corporate teams can use to extract insights for daily business management in an automated manner

Spearhead the execution and integration of financial budgeting, planning and analysis programs and activities within the channel.

Drive the collection of relevant information for periodic forecast updates, and annual budgets by working closely with the departments within the channel, setting targets, timelines, communicating guidelines and producing presentations to senior leaders and the team as needed

Proactively seek opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of deliverables.

Elevate the value-add of management reporting and analysis by increasing analytic capability and variance analysis tools to provide insights to drive discussion.

Provide strategic decision support to the entire supply chain organization by analyzing results, key performance indicators and identifying opportunities for improved financial and business performance

Synthesize complicated situations and financial information into actionable options and educate business users

Develop and maintain financial models and scenario analysis to support investment-making processes

Provide leadership to the Corporate analyst team, focusing on continual performance improvement, change management, staff development and coaching, and succession planning

Support and enhance the FP&A environment within the channel streams, ensuring their leaders have the detailed analysis, forecasting and insights to manage their business.

Develop finance knowledge within the business by effectively communicating financial concepts in a language that can be understood across all stakeholders
You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- 2-3+ years' proven experience training, developing, building and leading strong, stable, high-performing teams in a fast-paced, growth environment
- CPA, MBA or CFA designation or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience
- Strong analytical and modelling skills, expert knowledge of financial statements and the drivers that impact them
- Experience building automated dashboards and analytical tools to support risks & opportunities analysis and the development of a consistent set of corporate performance metrics/KPIs
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, are essential to succeed in this role
- Strong team player who can drive discussion but is always open to hearing a different view
- Self-motivated professional with the ability to focus, prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Excitement and a commitment to learn, understand and relate to Lush's core brand values
Preferred:
- Strong preference for the successful candidate to reside in either Vancouver, BC or Toronto, ON
- Experience in multi-national, fully vertical retail and digital operations
- Microsoft BI skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data
